Artificial Intelligence (AI), Overjet: Overjet software integrates with a patient's dental X-rays to provide exact measurements of decay and bone loss, clearly highlighting these problems on the image for dentists, hygienists and patients to see. Overjet also works on previously obtained X-ray images so that clinicians can more clearly detect changes that may be occurring, and treat more preventatively and effectively. Overjet AI has become so accurate that dental insurance companies use its results to instantly approve claims and is fast-becoming the future of dentistry.     

Guided Biofilm Therapy (GBT, prophy jet): The plaque that builds up on teeth is called biofilm. Without removal during daily brushing and flossing, biofilm will cause decay and/or gum disease. Regular dental cleanings are essential to remove this accumulated biofilm, which traditionally has been done using sharp hand instruments and ultrasonic, pulsating water devices. Guided Biofilm Therapy offers a new, highly efficient and gentle cleaning through Airflow. Airflow therapy utilizes compressed air, water and erythritol powder to remove accumulated biofilm, stain, bacteria and calculus above and below the gumline. Because it eliminates the need for more abrasive materials and sharper instruments, GBT is a much more comfortable and stress-free cleaning experience. Because of its efficacy, hard to remove stains from coffee and tea are more easily and completely removed, giving you a brighter looking smile. We are so excited to offer this new therapy to our patients! 

3D iTero Scanner: Our iTero Scanner uses a narrow wand directed throughout your mouth to capture thousands of images per second and compile them into a 3D representation of your teeth and surrounding tissue, replacing the need for traditional impressions. This technology can be used to make digital impressions for dental implants, crowns, bridges, oral appliances, cosmetic mock-ups, Invisalign and diagnostic purposes. It is also extremely valuable in monitoring changes in a patient’s dentition over time as it allows your dentist to digitally compare scans from different time periods. The goal at Elite Dental is to treat preventatively, comprehensively and conservatively, and the 3D iTero scanner helps the dentists make treatment recommendations in this manner. 

Zyris Isolite: Dental Isolation System: One of the best ways for our providers to achieve great results for their patients while also keeping them comfortable revolves around the Zyris Isolite Isolation System. The Isolite is placed inside the mouth and utilizes an integrated bite-block for a more comfortable jaw rest position, as well as a suctioning device that continuously removes water and debris generated. The all-in-one system allows optimal visibility, aerosol infection control, safety through airway protection, and significantly limits moisture that may contaminate a restoration. Providers are able to work more efficiently, meaning a more comfortable and quicker visit all-around.

Biolase Laser Technology: Biolase harnesses the advantages of laser therapy to create a more comfortable dental experience and more effective treatment outcomes. At Elite Dental, the Biolase laser can be used in routine cleanings and for patients with periodontal disease to decrease the number of disease-causing bacteria within the pockets. This therapy painlessly prevents the spread and progression of gum disease, which helps to maintain bone levels and prevent gum recession. Biolase is also utilized to access difficult restorative treatment areas that extend underneath the gum tissue. Without this access, a restoration will not have as great of a seal or fit, which is likely to cause premature failure. Use of laser treatment is based on patient specific needs, your provider will discuss if this therapy is appropriate for you.

Gluma Desensitizer: Elite Dental focuses on using gold-standard products and techniques when completing care. This includes the addition of a product called Gluma, which has been shown to significantly reduce post-operative sensitivity, increase the bond strength between tooth and restoration, inhibit enzymes produced by the body that breakdown the bond between tooth and restoration, and act as a final antimicrobial to eliminate bacteria that cannot be removed with mechanical debridement alone. Although not yet an industry standard, the Elite Dental providers place Gluma under every composite filling, every veneer, crown or bridge and in areas of tooth sensitivity. Gluma desensitizer is just a single example.
