Invisalign® in Arlington
Many people are interested in improving their smile (both cosmetically and functionally) through better tooth positioning, however most of those people are not interested in pursuing traditional metal braces to get the results they are looking for. Enter clear aligners, or Invisalign!
Invisalign aligners work by using a series of clear aligners to gradually shift teeth into the desired location. Individuals will change their aligners every 7-14 days depending on complexity, and can expect to come into the office every 4-8 weeks for progress checks. Many times translucent attachments are placed on the teeth to aid in movements, however patients note their discretion in comparison to unsightly metal brackets. When finished, our dentists will also fabricate additional aligners that may be used as free custom bleaching trays, a service valued at hundreds of dollars included in your Invisalign treatment!
The first step to finding out if you are a candidate for Invisalign by the Elite Dental Center dentists is by coming in for an initial evaluation. Our dentists will discuss the Invisalign process, what they may expect for your specific treatment timeline and tooth movement needs, and our front desk team can discuss financials and any benefits your insurance may cover for treatment.
**A note on mail-order aligners. Although it may seem like an easy, affordable option, mail-order aligners (like Smile Direct or Candid) are generally too good to be true. How clear aligners fit is imperative to treatment outcomes. Instead of using a highly accurate 3D scanner, mail-order aligners rely on an in-experienced patient taking a highly critical at-home impression. There is a lot of room for error! To correct crowded teeth, a dentist may need to create space for teeth to move past one another. If this is required, it has to be done in a dental office by a dentist. In addition, clear aligners are not for everyone, it's important to remember they are a medical procedure. As medical procedures are generally not right for everyone, the same is true of clear aligners. Use of clear aligners also requires regular monitoring otherwise dental problems may be exacerbated. This ultimately could increase the cost of fixing a problem in the end.
We look forward to meeting with you and discussing if Invisalign is the correct option for your teeth and your smile!
